It quickly became an industry standard and continues to be viable yet today. While today’s model has implemented many subtle improvements, the basis on which the original KD remains the same – a reliable, easy-to-operate lawn vacuum with strong suction. On the KD512SP and the TKD512SP, Billy Goat has added the self-propelled feature eliminating the need to manually push the vacuum across the lawn.

The 4-blade steel impeller creates higher suction power and more bulk reduction. An optional Shredding Screen (Part No. 890209) even more reduces the bulk leaves and organic debris to just a fraction of its original size. This extends the time between emptying the collection bag. The 8 bushel collection bag features a hard bottom eliminating premature wear on the underside of the bag. The KD lawn vacuums are powered by a Briggs & Stratton or Honda engine producing up to 1552 CFM in the TKD512SP model.

Other features include a 12-gauge steel housing, adjustable 5-position handle, 12 inch nylon wheels with ball bearings, and a 27 inch wide front suction nozzle made of high density polyethylene. The TKD includes a built-in chipper. The chipper has the capacity for pruning debris, sticks, and small limbs up to 2 inches. An optional On-Board Hose Kit (Part No. 890041) gets in those hard-to-reach places improving the versatility of the lawn vacuum.
